Our Story
It all started during a late-night gaming session in 2024. Ethan and Andrea were playing various games when they realized something was missing in the gaming community: a way to truly test and celebrate our collective gaming knowledge across different eras and genres.
"What if we could capture the essence of every gaming moment?" Ethan wondered aloud while exploring an open-world game. That simple question sparked the idea that would become GameGuessr.
We spent countless hours researching, playing, and meticulously capturing the most iconic and memorable scenes from hundreds of games - from retro classics to the latest releases. Each 360° image and scene was carefully selected to trigger that special "I know this!" feeling that every gamer experiences.
Why We Created GameGuessr
As lifelong gamers, we noticed that while there are many gaming communities, there wasn't a platform that truly celebrated the visual memory and recognition skills that gamers develop over years of playing. We wanted to create something that would:
